Keeping your account safe
We do our part, you do yours. A few habits make life a lot harder for scammers.
We never ask for your code
Not by mail, not by phone, not in a chat, not in our Discord and not in a DM on social media. Not when someone says they are from PartyPPL either, and not to help you.
- Your login code, the 6 digits from the mail.
- Your password. PartyPPL has no passwords. If someone asks for one, you know enough.
- Your passkey, or confirming with Face ID or Touch ID because someone else asks you to.
- The code of your authenticator app, or your recovery codes.
You enter a code yourself only, on partyppl.nl or in our app, and only when you are logging in yourself. A passkey only works on partyppl.nl: on a fake site it does nothing.
What phishing looks like
A helpful staff member
Someone in a DM, in Discord or on the phone who wants to help with your ticket and needs the code you just got for it. That code is the key to your account: whoever has it is logged in as you.
An address that is nearly right
A link to partyppl-tickets.com, partyppl.nl.something-else.com or an address with one letter off. Which addresses really are ours is below.
A code you did not ask for
Getting a login code while you were not logging in? Then someone is trying with your e-mail address. Do not use the code and give it to nobody: without the code they cannot get in.
Seen something suspicious?
Send the message, the link or a screenshot to security@partyppl.nl. We look into it and warn others when needed.
Did you give your code away after all? Go to Settings, log out everywhere else and let us know. The sooner, the better.
Tips
Turn on a passkey
In Settings you add a passkey. You then log in with Face ID, Touch ID or your password manager, and a fake site can do nothing with it.
Never share your login code
The code in the mail is for you only, on partyppl.nl or in our app. PartyPPL never asks for your code, not by mail, phone, chat, Discord or DM. More on this.
Do not share your ticket QR
A QR code is your entry. Whoever has a photo or screenshot of it might get in with it before you do. Keep it off social media.
Resell through PartyPPL
Can't go? Transfer your ticket or put it on resale in PartyPPL, at the original price. If you buy a ticket from a stranger, you never know whether that QR code was sold before.
Recognise phishing
Be wary of urgency ("your account closes today"), of a link to an address that does not end in partyppl.nl, and of any request for your code. In doubt, go to partyppl.nl yourself instead of tapping the link.
Check who is logged in
In Settings you see which devices you are logged in on. Something you do not know? Log it out, or log out everywhere else.
Is this really PartyPPL?
Scammers copy sites and mails. This is what really is ours.

Our senders
Mail from PartyPPL always comes from an address ending in @partyppl.nl. Your login code comes from login@partyppl.nl.
Our domain is set up strictly (DMARC on reject): mail servers should refuse mail that pretends to be @partyppl.nl but does not come from us.
Answers from support come from support@partyppl.nl. Our other addresses: info@partyppl.nl, privacy@partyppl.nl and security@partyppl.nl.
What we never ask for
- Your login code, your passkey, the code of your authenticator app or your recovery codes.
- Your card details by mail, chat or phone. Payment only happens on the payment page.
- To install an app that does not come from the App Store or from downloads.partyppl.nl.
